About our Academy

With the help of Allah and the support of the members of the Sudanese American Unity Association (SAUA), the Sudanese American Academy was established in 2017 at the association’s headquarters in Everett, Washington, in accordance with the association’s constitution. The academy is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization.

 

Our Mission

The primary goal of establishing this academy is to fulfill the spiritual and social development needs of the children of SAUA members and all Muslim families in the state.

 

Academy Activities

The academy operates on weekends, every Saturday and Sunday, for 4 hours each day. It utilizes 7 classrooms in its dedicated facility. The curriculum includes teaching of:

- The Quran

- The Sunnah

- Islamic Studies

- The Arabic Language

 

The academy initially started with 22 students and has since grown to welcome 72 students, who are divided into 7 academic levels, ranging from Level 1 to Level 7.

 

Academic Calendar

- Start of the Academic Year: September  

- End of the Academic Year: June  

- Class Hours: Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM  

 

Registration Process  

Registration opens one month before the start of the academic year. During this period, students can complete the registration process, review the academy’s regulations, and take placement tests to determine their appropriate academic level.
